Delete some of your Rootle data

This page explains how to delete some or all of the data in Rootle, the calorie and nutrition tracking app made by The Burrow Co, while keeping your account. To close your account and delete everything at once, see Delete your Rootle account.

Delete it in the app

Each deletion is permanent and takes effect straight away.

• A food entry: swipe it left on the Log screen, or open it and tap Delete entry.
• A weight: swipe it left in the history list on the Weight screen.
• A body measurement: go to Weight → Measurements and swipe it left, or open it and delete it.
• A saved food: in the Add a meal sheet, tap See all next to your regulars to open Your foods, then swipe the food left.
• Profile details (goals, body stats, birthday, sex, activity level): change them in Settings → Goals & targets and Settings → Body stats.
• Health sync: turn it off in Settings → Connected. Anything Rootle wrote to Apple Health or Health Connect stays on your device under your control; remove it in the Health app or Health Connect.

Ask us to delete it

For anything you can't delete yourself, or to have us delete a range of data for you (for example, every entry before a date), email support@theburrow.co from the email address you use to sign in, and say what you want deleted. We match the request to your account's email address, and we may ask you to confirm from that address before we delete anything. We'll confirm when it's done, within 45 days of your request at the latest.

What we keep

Deleting individual data leaves your account, sign-in details and subscription in place. Analytics events and crash reports aren't linked to what you logged and expire on Firebase's own schedule: up to 14 months for analytics events and 90 days for crash reports.
